Hakusekikan is the stone museum located in Hirukawa, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture. Hirukawa is an area to produce precious stone materials such as high-quality granite "Mikage-ishi", and there are many quarrying and stone processing companies. Iwamoto Co., Ltd., which established and operates Hakusekikan, also quarry and process stones, and is spreadding the appeal of stones through Hakusekikan.

Various objects are made of granite and installed in the Hakusekikan. For example, toilets, benches, playground equipment, etc. All are products by the operating company and can be used in practice. Stone products is felt cold in the cold season, but some products are not made of stone, so we can rest assured.

The most prominent thing of the Hakusekikan is the pyramid. It is a 1 / 10th scale reproduction of the Pyramid of Khufu, and all the stone materials used are granites from Hirukawa. There is a maze inside (underground) of this that children and adults can enjoy. In the surrounding area, there are also a precious-stone hunting corner and a playing corner with stones, all of which are popular. After playing a lot, we can eat lunch in the lawn square next to it, or we can relax and enjoy the paintings of the artist associated with Nakatsugawa in a mountain hut-like building in the forest.

In addition, there are several buildings in Hakusekikan, and we can enjoy the exhibits and experience related to the stones. At Koubutsu-tenjikan (the Mineral Exhibition Hall), precious stones from all over the world are on display, making it an unbearable spot for ore lovers. At the exhibition hall about the technology and history of quarrying and stone processing, we can see the tools used for quarrying and stone processing up close, which is a great learning experience.

Of course, there are also many stone products in the souvenir section. For example, there are animal-shaped figurines made from granite and accessories made with beautiful natural stones, and it's fun just looking around.

Precious-stone hunting corner

This is the most popular corner in Hakusekikan. A large amount of natural stones are scattered and hidden in the stone-made huge water-tub built to resemble a stream. Let's enjoy to find and get natural stones from in the sand of the 'stream'. There are various types and sizes of natural stone, and if we find a big and beautiful stone, we will be glad to cheer. We can also process the natural stones we find into accessories.

Pyramid maze

This is a corner to enjoy exploring the pyramid, which is the symbol of Hakusekikan. It's under ground, but it's not dark because of the lighting. The boards of picture are hidden inside. Finding them all may be a little harder than we think.

Mining Experience Hall

We can enjoy mini games and experiences that children and adults can enjoy, such as finding gold dust and fossils. In the passage from the building entrance to the experience corner, there are also a stone crab-shaped bench and an area with pebbles that stimulate the acupuncture points on the soles of the feet, which is exciting in many ways.

博石館

博石館は、岐阜県中津川市蛭川にある石の博物館です。蛭川は良質な御影石をはじめ、貴重な石材も採れる土地で、採石や石材加工の会社も多数あります。博石館を設立・運営している株式会社岩本も採石・石材加工に携わっており、博石館を通してもっと石の魅力を広めようとしています。

博石館には、いろいろなものが御影石で造られて設置されています。たとえば、トイレ、ベンチ、遊具など。すべて運営会社による製品で、実際に使用できます。さすがに寒い季節には石製品は冷たく感じますが、石製ではないものもあるので大丈夫です。

博石館で最も目立つのは、やはりピラミッドです。クフ王のピラミッドを10分の１スケールで再現したもので、使われている石材はすべて蛭川の御影石です。その内部（地下）には迷路があり、子供から大人まで楽しく遊べます。周辺には宝石探しコーナーや石を使った遊具コーナーもあり、どれも人気です。たっぷり遊んだ後は、すぐ横の芝生の広場でお弁当を食べることもできますし、森の中の山小屋風の建物で中津川所縁の芸術家の絵をゆったり楽しむこともできます。

また、敷地内には複数の建物があり、それぞれ石に因んだ展示を見たり、体験したりできます。鉱物展示館には世界各地から集めた貴重な石が展示されていて、鉱石好きにはたまらないスポットです。採石や石材加工の技術と歴史に関する展示館においても、採石や石材加工で使う道具も間近で見ることができ、とても勉強になります。

もちろん、土産物売場にも石製品は充実しています。動物の形の置物や、綺麗な天然石を使ったアクセサリーなど、見ているだけでも楽しいですよ。

博石館で人気ナンバー１のコーナーです。小川に見立てた石製の巨大な水槽に、大量の天然石がばら撒かれています。その川底の砂から天然石を探し出すゲームです。天然石は種類もサイズもいろいろで、大きくて綺麗な石を見つけると、思わず歓声が上がります。見つけた天然石をアクセサリーに加工することもできます。

ピラミッド迷路

博石館のシンボルであるピラミッドの中を探検するコーナーです。地下ではありますが、照明があるので真っ暗ではありません。中には絵札が隠されています。全部見つけるのは、予想よりちょっぴり大変かも。

鉱山体験館

砂金探しや化石探しなど、子供から大人まで楽しめるミニゲームや体験を楽しめます。建物入口から体験コーナーまでの通路には、石製カニ型ベンチや、足の裏のツボを刺激する小石のエリアもあって、いろんな意味で刺激的です。
