• Binding appendix of magazine "Koiunreki September 2011 issue (No.124)"
• "Dominatrix-lady's tarot" is another name written on somewhere of the magazine, I have a memo when I bought the magazine, so I will also write it down here as well.

This deck has a motif of eccentric sexial preference. It was binding appendix of the love fortune-telling magazine targeting young females for sale, so I thought "Choosing this deck as the appendix, what a daring!".

No.13 card of such a deck is named "Death". And, some parts of female's body is drawn in disjointed part, it's a shocking picture. However, it looks like to be based on the Rider-Waite edition, because that the dominatrix-lady playing the death god is riding on a white horse, that the sun is drawn in the background. Therefore, this card should mean "something ends and there may be some hope or starting beyond that".

Now, let's focus on some impressive parts.

The most noticeable part is that a person playing the death god is the dominatrix-lady. Regardless of that a man is laying down by the foot of her white horse, she looks down at a woman's corpse beside him. There is perhaps no doubt that the person the dominatrix-lady brought the death is not a man but a woman beside him.

If it, why is a man also laying down? And, why aren't there other parts of a woman's corpse? About these question, I will try to start thinking with the appearance of a man.

The man is laying down at a corner of this picture in a posture with both hands tied. Considering that a person playing the death god is the domenatrix-lady, he is perhaps a male-sub. And, a woman who is already a corpse seems to be his lover. If I think so, this picture looks the scene that "by being teased by the dominatrix-lady, the man forgot his love for a woman he has loved until then (to him she died)". Because of being drawn as a symbol of his forgetting his love and his affection, a woman's corpse probably won't have to be the whole body. Rather, if I think what remains are a woman's parts where a man felt most attractive, I feel a glimpse of a man's (or the creator?) view of love.

But the position of a man in this picture is only a corner of it, and this deck is an appendix of the magazine targeting a young female, so also in this picture the main character cannot be a male. I will move the point of view from a man to women.

For the woman who is already corpse, because she was forgotten by him and lost his love, this picture means "the end of things (in this case love)" exactly.

What about it for the dominatrix-lady who plays the death god and who is the another female?

When I look at her who is riding on a white horse, the dominatrix-lady doesn't expose her skin. She wears a mask like a skull on her face, a full body tights decorated with geometric patterns on her body. Her hair is long, while it's hard to compare because of her tying hair together, looks as long as a corpse woman's hair. In addition, I think their faces are also similar in shape.

Assuming the corpse woman and the dominatrix-lady are the same person, I can look that this picture for her is the scene that a woman could re-start new herself as "the dominatrix-lady". I can think that is an implication that she could expose herself she had hided to him, or an implication that she crashed an ideal female figure he had imagined arbitrarily.

In the case that they are another person, I can imagine the scene that she made him forget the other lover by giving him an unknown experience, or the scene that she sanctioned a man who had an affair and his cheating partner. Of course after that, she will be able to restart to life for happiness of herself.

Because this deck's motif is eccentric sexial preference, I have been not good at it for long time, but by looking carefully in this way, I felt interesting for that this picture is based on meaning and keyword neatly and could enjoy.

13番：死

　特殊な性的嗜好をモチーフにしたデッキです。付録になっていた雑誌は、若い女性をターゲットにした恋愛占い専門雑誌でしたので、「これを付録にするとは思い切ったことをしたものだな」と思ったものでした。
　そんなデッキの13番には、「死」というストレートな名称がついています。それに、女性の体の一部がバラバラの状態で描かれていて、衝撃的な絵です。但し、死神役の女性が白馬に跨っていること、背景に太陽が描かれていることとで、ライダー・ウエイト版をベースにしていると思われます。なので、このカードも「何かが終わり、その先に何らかの希望か始まりがありそうだ」ということを意味しているはずです。
　では、印象的な箇所に着目してみます。
　何よりも目立つのは、死神を演じているのがＳ嬢であることです。彼女は、白馬の足元に男性が横たわっているにもかかわらず、彼の脇にある女性の遺体を見下ろしています。Ｓ嬢が死をもたらしたのは、この女性のほうで間違いないでしょう。
　それなら、どうして男性も横たわっているのでしょうか？　また、女性の遺体の他の部分がないのは、なぜでしょうか？　これらの疑問について、私は男性の様子から考えます。
　男性は、両手を縛られているような姿勢のまま、画面の隅に転がっています。死神役の女性がＳ嬢であることと併せますと、彼はＭ役でしょう。そして、遺体であるほうの女性の恋人と思われます。そう考えますと、この絵は「男性はＳ嬢に嬲られたことで、それまで恋してきた女性への思いを忘れた（彼の中で彼女は死んだ）」場面に見えてきます。女性の遺体は、男性が恋心や愛情を忘れた象徴として描かれていますから、全身でなくてもよいのでしょう。むしろ、男性にとって最も魅力的に感じていた恋人のパーツのみが残っていると考えると、この男性（あるいは製作スタッフ？）の恋愛観が垣間見える気がします。
　しかし、この絵における男性の位置は隅のみですし、前述のとおり「若い女性をターゲットにした恋愛占い雑誌」の付録だったデッキのカードですから、この絵においても主人公が男性であるはずがありません。女性を中心とした視点に変えます。
　遺体であるほうの女性にとっては、男性に忘れられて失恋し、「物事（この場合は恋愛）の終焉」そのものを示す絵です。
　もう一人の女性である死神役のＳ嬢にとってはどうでしょう？
　白馬に跨っているＳ嬢を見ますと、肌を露出していません。顔には骸骨風のマスク、全身を幾何学模様のタイツで包んでいます。髪は長く、後頭部で１つに束ねているので比べにくいですが、遺体の女性のものと同じぐらいに見えます。それに、顔の形も似ている気がします。
　遺体の女性と死神役のＳ嬢とが同一人物だと仮定しますと、女性にとっては「Ｓ嬢」という新しい自分での再スタートできた場面と見ることができます。これは、男性に対して隠していたことをさらけ出せたという暗示とも、男性が勝手に思い描いていた理想の女性像を壊すことができたという暗示とも、考えられます。
　遺体の女性とＳ嬢とが別人である場合には、男性に未知の体験をさせることで別の恋人を忘れさせたとか、浮気した男性とその相手に制裁を加えたなどが考えられます。その後は当然、自分の幸せのためにＳ嬢は歩いていけるでしょう。
　特殊な性的嗜好がモチーフなので長らく苦手意識が拭えませんでしたが、こうしてじっくり見てみますと、きちんと意味やキーワードを踏まえた絵になっていて、面白く楽しめました。
