This deck has the word "particle" in its name. "Particle" is drawn as geometric patterns in the picture of each card. I think this "particle" may mean something making up this world like "life" or "vitality" or "the law of truth" or "the power of Gods and Buddha". Because the more influential and more great-effective cards have the larger and more high-density geometric patterns.

The picture of "DEATH" card of such a deck gives me the impression like one of "Hermit" of the traditional Tarot deck at the first glance. Because something like a dark-colored robe is the first to be seen. But, the face under its hood is not human's one, and the scythe that has a red blade is also painted near the bottom left of the picture. Because something like a dark-colored robe extends to the handle of the scythe, it would be sure that this being is the death god.

Small geometric patterns that express particles can be glimpsed through gaps of something like the dark-colored robe. The death god seems to be holding them. That is, these particles would express robbed lives by the death god. There are quite a few of them, maybe because of how to be in life, each of them is different in density and pattern.

The death god's influence power seems to be mighty. Near the blade of the scythe, chrysanthemum flowers begin to wither, chains begin to rust. However, its power is not for destruction of life, but to the last seems to be only for "taking away" life. On that evidence, the death god has a lot of particles hidden. In them, there seem to be ones that have halved, but the death god has all without throwing them away.

On the part of hood of the death god, multiple particles that have many layers and fine patterns are drawn. If assuminging they are symbols of "the law of truth" or "the power of Gods and Buddha", I can think that the death god gives creatures death is for that the death god takes away lives or spirits and leads them to new cycles. If in that case, we could feel it is great that they can move to new cycles, but it may not always be happy. Because particles the death god has hidden don't seem to keep a circle shape as mentioned above. Whether they are lacking because the death god takes away or the death god takes away because they have been lacking, in either case, I can't think they will make a fresh start with happiness.

Because I recognize "particle" as "invisible small grain", it is unexpected to me that particles are expressed in a mandala-like design and multiple circles like this deck. However, I think it's interesting and unique that particles' designs add the mysterious feeling to the picture of each cards and broaden the users' imaginations of the scene. In addition, because each card of this deck has the atmosphere each should have while making us feel a unique arrangement that has somehow exotic impression, it can be understood by also an amateur including me that this deck is very complete. Well, it's no wonder the supervisor has been using this deck in his site for a long time.

DEATH

　このデッキは「小さな欠片」や「粒子」を冠しています。それは各カードの絵には幾何学的な模様として描きこまれています。この「粒子」が表しているのは、「命」とか「生命力」あるいは「真理的な法則」とか「神仏の力」といった世界を構成する何かしらだろうと、私は思います。影響や作用が大きなものを表すカードほど、幾何学模様が大きく、模様の密度が高いものとして描かれているからです。
　そんなデッキの「DEATH」は、パッと見ただけでは伝統的なデッキの「隠者」のカードのような印象を受けます。暗い色のローブのようなものが真っ先に目に入るからです。しかし、そのフードから見える顔は人間のものではありませんし、画面左下付近には刃の赤い大鎌も描かれています。暗い色のローブのようなものは、その大鎌の柄へと伸びていますし、この存在が死神であることは間違いないでしょう。
　暗いローブのようなものの向こうには、粒子を表現する小さな幾何学模様が見え隠れしています。死神が抱えているようです。つまり、この粒子は死神が奪った生命でしょう。それらは相当な数であり、それぞれの生前のあり方によってか、模様の密度もさまざまです。
　死神の影響力は強そうです。大鎌の刃の近くにある菊は萎れ、鎖は錆び始めています。しかし、それは生命の破壊ではなく、あくまでも「奪う」だけのようです。その証拠に、死神は粒子を大量に隠し持っています。中には半分だけになっているものもあるようですが、それすらも捨てずに抱えています。
　死神のフード部分には、多層で模様も細かな粒子が複数描かれています。これを「真理的な法則」や「神仏の力」の象徴と見ると、死神が生き物に死をもたらすのは、生命あるいは魂を持ち帰り、新たなサイクルへと導くためと考えられます。その場合、新たなサイクルへ移行できることは素晴らしいことのように感じられますが、必ずしも喜ばしいとは限らないかもしれません。前述のとおり、死神の隠し持つ粒子が円形を保っているように見えないからです。死神が奪い取る際に欠けるのか、欠けているから死神に奪い取られるのか、どちらであれ、幸福感を伴う再出発だとは私には考えられません。
　「粒子」は私の認識では「目に見えないほど小さな粒」なので、このデッキのように曼荼羅のようなデザインや多重円での表現は思いがけないものです。が、そのデザイン性を活かしてカードの絵柄に神秘性を加えたり、見る者に場面を空想させたりしているところは、とても興味深くユニークです。おまけに、どこかエキゾチックな印象の個性的なアレンジを前面に出しつつ、各カードの持つべき雰囲気を醸し出してもいるのですから、非常に優秀なデッキであることは素人目にも判ります。なるほど、監修者がご自身のサイトで長く使用されているのも納得です。
