Spring view of Sakaori Tanada part 2

This is one of photos I took Sakaori Tanada (terraced paddy fields) that had just been plowed, from its viewing platform.
This photo was taken at an angle close to horizontal from the viewing platform, and shows us that each of paddy fields has a distorted elongated shape and is lined up in a staircase on a steep bevel, sure.
Thanks to the blessed weather, I was able to take photos of beautiful sceneries of terraced paddy fields, the mountain, and the sky, but when I imagine the hard works of people who cleared these bevels and made terraced paddy fields and people who have maintained and cultivated, I can't help thinking that there is something more important and more beautiful than beauty of the view in this place.

春の坂折棚田 その２

田おこしが済んで間もない坂折棚田を、展望台から撮影した写真の１枚です。
これは、展望台から横方向へ向いて撮影したもので、田の１枚ずつが細長く、なかなか急な斜面にあることが判るかと思います。
天気にも恵まれ、棚田と山と空がつくる美しい風景を撮影できましたが、この土地を開墾した人々、維持し耕作してきた人々のご労苦を想像すると、この土地には風景以上に大切なものがあると思えてなりません。
