Spring view of Sasaragi Tanada part 4

This is one of photos I took Sasaragi Tanada (terraced paddy fields) around the time of the rice paddy plowing in spring.
I climbed through the path for tractors from the road across the terraced paddy fields to shoot from on the top paddy field.
Since the bevel of the ground where the terraced paddy fields are on is relatively gentle, the ridges of paddy fields lined up in steps looked like a striped pattern.
That is what we see in the foreground of this photo, it's a striped pattern that we can see only for a short perrod of time after cutting the grass on paddy fields and their ridges until the planted rice begins to grow.

春の佐々良木棚田 その４

春の田おこしの頃に撮った佐々良木棚田の写真です。
棚田の中ほどを横切る道からトラクター用の小道を登り、一番上の田から撮影しました。
棚田のある土地の傾斜が比較的緩やかなため、階段状に並んでいる田の畔が縞模様に見えました。
この写真の前景部分に写るのがそれで、田や畔の草を刈ってから植えられた稲が成長し始めるまでの短い間だけ見ることのできる縞模様です。
