Finished crocheting body parts of my next tunic

After making a tunic and some pocket tissue covers with excess thread in the first half of 2021, I had started to crochet my next tunic.

The thread used is "Tsumugi 2" of Gosyo Co.,Ltd, which is fine pongee thread. I bought it many years before and made a front-opening clothes with design pattern crocheting with double thread. I liked that clothes and wore it for some years, but its pattern was so youthful and beautiful that I became to feel it was too good for me as I got older, so I untied it at last. And then, I decided to re-crochet a new tunic with simple design using the thread that was gone back from double thread to single thread.

The pongee thread is made of silk, but has more uneven than raw silk, and becomes a soft cotton-like knitted fabric by being knitted. In addition, it has also the lightness of silk, so even if I crochet a body part of a tunic by Koma-hogan method (method of crocheting 1 single crochet and 1 chain alternatively), I don't feel too heavy. However, I seem to have made a calculation error when I made a gauge, I failed to make body parts with enough width.

Elongated triangular crocheted fabrics separate from body parts are parts to make up for the lack of width of body parts. If I add crocheting anyway, I wanted to finish a tunic with A-line design, so I decided to make and add triangular parts on both sides. And now, I'm sewing with the same thread to connect these parts.

Spreading these parts and taking a look in this way, I think I might have made a collarspace and sleeve spaces too wider than my expect. About what to make the collar and sleeves, I'm going to think and decide after connecting all parts and trying on.

チュニックの身頃パーツができました

　21年前半に余り糸でチュニックやらポケットティッシュカバーやらを編んだ後、自作の羽織ものを解いた糸で、またチュニックを編み始めていました。
　糸はごしょう産業さんの「つむぎ・２」で、細い紬糸です。何年も前に購入し、当時２本取りにして模様編みの羽織ものを編みました。その服はお気に入りで数年着ましたが、模様編みのデザインが素敵すぎて年を取るにつれて着づらくなり、解いてしまいました。そして、今回その糸を１本取りに戻して、シンプルなデザインのチュニックに編み直そうと決めたのです。
　紬糸は絹ですが、生糸よりも凹凸がある糸で、編むとコットンのようなふわっとした肌触りの編み地になります。それでいて絹の軽さなので、2/0号かぎ針でこま方眼編みをしても重さが苦になりません。ただ、ゲージの段階で計算間違いをしてしまったようで、身頃の幅がやや不足してしまいました。

　前後の身頃とは別にある、細長い三角形の編み地は、身頃の幅の不足分を補うパーツです。どうせならＡラインに仕上げようと思い、両脇に三角形のパーツを足すことにしたのです。現在は、これら身頃と両脇のパーツを巻きかがりで繋いでいます。
　こうして編み地を広げて見ますと、なんとなく予想していたよりも襟ぐりと袖ぐりが広くなってしまっている気がします。襟と袖をどうするか、パーツを繋いで形にし、試着してから考えることにします。
