Small Komainu statue of handmade pottery

This is one of the pottery Komainu statues handmade by local people, at Hachioji Shrine in Sue-cho, Mizunami City.
This one was smaller than others, but had been carefully and nicely made on its face and its coat.
I felt his spirit in his gazing expression and looked like he is about to move at any moment.
If you look this photo, I'm not maybe the only one who think so.

小さな手作り陶製狛犬

瑞浪市陶町の八王子神社にある、地元の人の手作りの陶製狛犬の１つです。
他のものよりも小さいのですが、顔立ちも毛並みもとても丁寧に作られていました。
こちらを見据える表情にも気迫があって、今にも動き出しそうでした。
この写真を見れば、そう思うのはきっと私だけではないでしょう。
