Close-up portrait of the open-mouthed Komainu

I took the Komainu (the guardian-dog) statue of Kujiri Shrine in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture in close-up boldly for me.
Carved stone texture, carved depth of every part and carved pattern in its mouth, all is finished to feel the enthusiasm of the craftsman.
It's too late, but I should have taken more photos also from another angles.

阿形の狛犬の頭部のアップ

岐阜県土岐市にある久尻神社の狛犬を、思い切ってアップで撮影しました。
彫り出された石の質感、パーツごとの彫りの深さ、口の中の彫り込みと、どれも職人さんの意気込みが感じられる仕上がりです。
今にして思えば、違うアングルからももっと撮影すればよかったです。
