Euphorbia marginata whose leave's white spots look like cool

While walking at that day, I found that there was a white plant in a certain house's flowerbed.
When I watched it, it was a plant with white spotted leaves, that had also a small white flowers like shy on its top.
I didn't know this flower's name and took its photo for searching on Google later.
That is this photo.
While 2 years since shooting, I didn't know this flower's name after all.
Now for writing this article, I tried to search it seriously and at last knew that it was named "Hatsuyukiso (Euphorbia marginata)".
That the plant's leaves become white and that it has white flowers are in summer, but its name is including "Hatsuyuki" (meaning "first snow" in Japanese)...I wonder why it is.
I wonder if it might be "because this plant looks like being covered with snow ahead of everything else in summer" rather.

葉の白斑が涼しげなハツユキソウ

この日歩いていたら、とあるお家の花壇に白い植物があることに気づきました。
見ると、葉に白い斑が入っている植物で、いちばん上には控えめに小さな白い花が咲いていました。
私はこの花の名前を知らず、後でググってみるためにと写真を撮りました。
それがこの写真です。
撮影から約２年、結局私はこの花の名前を知らぬままでした。
今回この記事を書くにあたり、真剣に調べてみて初めて「ハツユキソウ」というのだと知りました。
葉を白くし、白い花をつけるのは夏なのに、「ハツユキソウ（初雪草）」とは、これ如何に？
むしろ、「夏に他の何よりも先に雪が積もったように見えるから」かもしれませんね。
