Komainu statue guarding the precinct by silent barking

I took a photo of Komainu (Guardian-dog) of open-mouthed form at Kujiri Shrine in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture.
This is an angle taken from the position between open-mouthed Komainu statue and close-mouthed one.
The direction where this Komainu is looking at is outside the precinct.
He is always barking to visitors in silent voice and guarding the precinct.
He is cool, isn't he?

聞こえぬ声で境内を守る狛犬

岐阜県土岐市にある久尻神社で、阿形の狛犬像を撮影しました。
吽形の狛犬像との間の位置からのアングルです。
狛犬が向いている方向が神社の外側になります。
彼は、常にこうして訪れる者へ聞こえぬ声を上げ、境内を守っているのです。
かっこいいですね。
