Komainu's proud appearance

I took Komainu (the guardian-dog) of Kujiri Shrine in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture at a angle that we could see his body line of chest or legs.
His style that holding a jewel he is always careful not to put bad things in from the outside without starting battles by himself deserves to be called a true strong guy.
In addition, he has a surprisingly muscular body, and seen from this angle he looks like guarding me from something bad, so...
Somehow he in this photo makes me happy and shy; I wonder I am the only one who thinks so.

狛犬の雄姿

岐阜県土岐市の久尻神社の狛犬を、胸や脚の肉付きが判るアングルで撮りました。
自分からは戦い始めず、宝玉を手に外部から悪いものが入らぬよう警戒し続ける姿は、真の強者と呼ぶに相応しいです。
それに、意外と逞しい体つきですし、このアングルはまさに狛犬に何か悪いものから守ってもらっている場面のようにも見えて…
なんだか、嬉しいような照れた気分になるのは私だけ？
