Oxyopes serta ambushing behind a lily's leaf

This is a photo of a prey-ambushing oxyopes serta I found while seeing a certain house's garden.
Although I regret I couldn't zoom it any bigger because of without a macro lens, you should be able to see that it was dexterously hiding behind the leaf.
Oxyopes serta doesn't make its nest, hides like this, ambushes and captures prey.
When it notices its choosing place isn't suitable to ambush, it moves by itself.
So that, I was really lucky to be able to take a photo like this.
Needless to say, I leaved there gently after shooting.

ユリの葉の裏で待ち伏せするササグモ

とあるお家の庭で見つけた、獲物を待ち伏せしているササグモの写真です。
マクロレンズを持っておらずこれがズームの限界だったのは残念ですが、器用に葉の裏に隠れているのが判るかと思います。
ササグモは巣を作らず、こうして身を潜めて獲物を待ち伏せて捕食します。
選んだ場所が待ち伏せに向かないと気づくと、自ら移動していきます。
だから、こうして私にも写真を撮れたのは、じつはとてもラッキーなことでした。
撮影後、私がそっとその場を離れたのは、言うまでもありません。
