Swallowtail butterfly resting in the shade of a tree

I remember it was very hot at that day and the temperature was above body temperature at the shooting time.
That heat seemed to be also tough for insects, the swallowtail butterfly was resting in the shade of heavenly bamboo tree.
It didn't fly away even if I walked closer a little, was only repeating slowly to open and close its wings.
This photo is the most easy-to-understand its body and wings' pattern in ones I took then.
I was satisfied and finished to shoot, and gently left the place.
I'm sure that swallowtail butterfly would have taken a good rest before taking off.

木陰で休息するアゲハチョウ

この日はとても暑く、撮影時には気温が体温を超えていたと記憶しています。
昆虫にとってもしんどい暑さだったようで、このアゲハチョウは南天の木陰で休んでいました。
私がカメラを持って少し歩み寄っても飛び立たず、ゆっくりと羽を閉じたり開いたりするだけでした。
この写真は、何枚か撮った中で、最もアゲハチョウの体や羽の模様を判りやすく写せたものです。
私は満足して撮影を終え、そっとその場から離れました。
きっとアゲハチョウも十分に休息してから飛び立ったことでしょう。
