Train waiting for departure at Miyakonojo Station

I took this photo when I visited Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture for watching the Kyudo competition of the Inter-High School Championships.
The scenery of the summer local line station, with grasses beginning to re-grow up, where a vehicle with a retro impression was waiting made me plenty of traveling feeling.
This vehicle would run from here through in the deep green mountains and carry locals and travelers including me to towns along the line.
With that in mind, doesn't this vehicle look like an experienced hero not just old?

都城駅で出発を待つ電車

インターハイ弓道競技大会を観戦すべく出かけた宮崎県都城市で撮影した１枚です。
夏の地方路線の駅には草が再び伸び始めていて、レトロな印象の車両とともに旅情感たっぷりでした。
この車両は、ここから緑深い山の中を走り、私を含めた旅行者や地元の人々を沿線の街へと運んでくれます。
そう思うと、この車両はただ古びているのではなく、歴戦の勇士のように見えてきませんか？
