Magnolia stellata flowers part 2

Magnolia stellata flowers were, for me, a longing one that I had continued to miss the shooting timing even though I had wanted to shoot.
I finally remembered Magnolia stellata flower when Somei-yoshino began to bloom, and visited the place where it is in bloom, but it was already over the peak... that's what I had repeated for some years.
On the day I shot Kawazu-sakura flowers beginning to bloom in the late March 2020, I said that to my mother casually, then she said me.
"Magnolia stellata is beginning to bloom also in our garden, but didn't you know?"
This was shocking for me who am ignorant of plants and almost never helped with care of parents' garden.
What I could shoot in this way was, as you can see, Magnolia stellata flowers at the beginning of blooming.
This fresh appearance is exactly the Magnolia stellata flower I wanted to shoot.

シデコブシの花 その２

シデコブシの花は私にとって、撮りたいのにタイミングを逃し続けた、憧れの花でした。
ソメイヨシノが咲き始める頃にようやく思い出し、咲いている場所を訪れるものの、すでに盛りを過ぎているということを、何年もの間繰り返していたのです。
2020年３月下旬、河津桜が咲き始めたのを撮影した日に、母にそのことをこぼしましたら、こう言われました。
「シデコブシなら、うちの庭でも咲き始めてるのに」
植物に疎く、実家の庭の手入れを手伝ったことのなかった私には、衝撃の一言でした。
そうして撮影できたのは、ご覧のように、咲き始めの頃のシデコブシの花でした。
この瑞々しさのある姿こそ、私が撮りたかったシデコブシです。
