Somei-yoshino blossoms flowering on the tree trunk

On the shooting day, almost Somei-yoshino cherry blossoms had fallen, but just a few were left.
It was these flowers that I found when it became fun to look for and shoot them.
They grew directly on the trunk of the still young tree and were flowering there.
Another flowers were left also near at the base of the branch in the slightly back.
Those flowers seemed the last buds of this year on that tree.
New leaves were beginning to sprout from the root of peduncles that had already lost their petals.
Taking this photo was a time when I could feel the presence of this cherry tree lively.

胴咲きのソメイヨシノ

撮影当日にはソメイヨシノの花はほとんどが散ってしまっていましたが、わずかに残ってもいました。
それらを探して撮影するのも楽しくなってきた頃見つけたのが、この花でした。
まだ若い木の幹に直接花芽がつき、咲いていました。
少し奥の枝にも、付け根付近に花が残っていました。
これらの花々が、この木のこの年最後の花芽のようでした。
すでに花弁を落とした花柄の根元からは、新しい葉が芽吹き始めてもいました。
この写真の撮影は、私にとって桜の木の息吹を感じられるひと時でした。
