Statue of Benzaiten watching over Enakyo

There is a islet with a small shrine where Benzaiten is enshrined in a corner of the park of Enakyo (Ena Gorge).
It used to be on a steep mountain, but when a dam lake was created in Enakyo, the mountain sank into the lake and it became to be the small shrine on the islet.
Next to the small shrine, a statue of Benzaiten who is enshrine there was built.
That's the statue in this photo.
The statue shows the appearance of Benzaiten who is sitting on the rock around which the dragon god winds and watching over Enakyo while playing the biwa (Japanese lute).
I was relieved and so glad to be able to capture appearances of Benzaiten and the dragon god beautifully against the landscape of Enakyo as the background.

恵那峡を見守る弁財天像

恵那峡公園の一角に、弁財天を祀る祠のある小島があります。
昔は険しい山の上にあったそうですが、恵那峡がダム湖になったことでその山が湖中に沈み、小島の祠となりました。
その祠の隣に、祀られている弁財天の像ができました。
それがこの像です。
龍の巻きつく岩の上に坐し、琵琶を弾きながら恵那峡を見守っているお姿です。
恵那峡を背景に、お顔や龍の姿を美しく撮影できてよかったです。
