Guardian dragon of Chozuya in Iidaka Kannon part 1

This is a photo I took at Chozuya (purification fountain) of Iidaka Kannon Manshoji temple in Ena City, Gifu Prefecture in January 2021.
Water is always flowing in the Chozuya of this temple, and the faucet is the guardian dragon as you see.
This guardian dragon is bending his very slender body into an S shape, and keeps pouring water while gazing at the surface of the water.
He is like a guardian god of Chozuya.
I shot him every time I visited because his details of manes, beards, horns, face and scales are nice, but I had not been able to shoot well.
Finally this time, I could take photos that show details and texture of the guardian dragon and also water flow well.
I was glad to feel as if the guardian dragon finally allowed me to take photos.

飯高観音の手水舎の竜 その１

2021年１月に、岐阜県恵那市にある飯高観音萬勝寺の手水舎で撮った写真です。
この寺の手水舎には常に水が流れていて、その蛇口はご覧の竜です。
この竜、とてもスマートな体をＳ字にし、水面を睨みながら水を注ぎ続けてくれます。
まるで手水舎の守り神です。
鬣や髭、角、顔や鱗の造作が素敵なので、参詣のたびに撮影していたのですが、なかなかうまく撮れませんでした。
今回ようやく、竜の細部や質感も水の流れも綺麗に見える写真が撮れました。
まるで竜にようやく撮影を許可してもらえたみたいに思えて、嬉しかったです。
