Hard and small plum flower buds

When I went out for my task early in new year, I found plum trees had flower buds.
They were trees I had taken photos before when their flowers were in full bloom.
I was surprised to see they already had flower buds because since the middle of winter I hadn't really watched plants that bloom in spring.
The flower buds had just sprouted and were still hard and small, but they made me realize that spring was definitely approaching.

固く小さな梅の花芽

新年早々、用事で出かけた先で、梅の木に花芽がついているのを見つけました。
以前花が満開の時に撮影したことのある木でした。
真冬から春に咲く植物に目を向けたことがあまりなかったので、既に花芽がついていることに驚きました。
花芽たちは芽吹いたばかりでまだまだ固く小さくはありましたが、確実に春が近づいているのを実感させてくれました。
