A little snow-capped Japanese white pine

On the shooting day, the snow had stopped and had slightly covered my mother's garden.
My mother had already swept snow on the ground away with a broom when I brought out my camera, but snow still remained on branches and leaves of the trees.
Moreover, in an appropriate amount, which could be called snow makeup of trees.
This is one of photos I took because I thought this was a rare chance.
It was as if the branches of Japanese white pine were holding snow.

少し雪を抱えた五葉松

この日は降っていた雪がやみ、母の庭はうっすらと雪に覆われていました。
私がカメラを持ち出した時にはすでに母が箒で地面の雪を掃き終えていましたが、木々の枝や葉には雪が残っていました。
それも、木々の雪化粧と呼べる、適度な量で。
こんな機会は珍しいと思って撮った写真のうちの１枚が、これです。
まるで五葉松の枝が雪を抱えているみたいでした。
