Ornamental cabbages in spring

Many houses in the area where I live plant the ornamental cabbage on the flowerbed in winter.
Maybe, it's because people have a desire to celebrate the New Year as brightly and gorgeous as possible by decorating with the ornamental cabbage that has a shape like a flower, I think.
My parents also put the potted ornamental cabbage for the decoration in the front of the entrance every winter, but they always replace with another flower's pot before spring, so I had not watched the ornamental cabbage in and after spring consciously.
Therefore, when I noticed the lines of the ornamental cabbages in spring while taking a walk in the town, I was a little surprised.
"Oh, they grow like this, don't they. Anyway, how so beautiful gradation they have!"
I thought so, and took this photo with the intention of shooting women in the same color and different types of dresses.

春を迎えたハボタン

私が暮らす地域は、冬になると花壇にハボタンを植えるお家が多いです。
多分、花のような形のハボタンを飾って、少しでも明るく華やかに新年を迎えようという気持ちからなのでしょう。
私の実家も同様に鉢植えのハボタンを玄関前に飾るのですが、春になる前に他の花の鉢と入れ替えてしまうため、春以降のハボタンの姿を意識して見ることはありませんでした。
だから、街を歩いていて春を迎えたハボタンの列に気づいた時、ちょっぴり驚きました。
「はぁ、こんなに伸びるものなのねぇ。でも、グラデーションがとっても綺麗だわぁ」
同色で型違いのドレスを着た女性たちを写すつもりで撮った写真です。
