Spring view of Sasaragi Tanada part 5

This is one of photos taken at Sasaragi Tanada (terraced paddy fields) in Ena City, Gifu Prefecture.
The shooting day was during the paddy field plowing period, them on the upper tier were in the state before plowing, and they with filling small grass looked like beautiful green carpets.
The grass is plowed together when plowing fields, and becomes an important fertilizer for rice cultivation.
Looking at this view, I was looking forward to see the summer scene where rice seedlings grow and the autumn scene where shining rice ears cover these fields.

春の佐々良木棚田 その５

岐阜県恵那市の佐々良木棚田で撮影した写真のうちの１枚です。
春の田おこし期間のもので、上のほうの段はまだ耕す前の状態で、きれいな緑色の草が絨毯のようでした。
田おこしの際にはこの草も一緒に耕し、稲作に必要な肥料となります。
苗が育っていく夏の風景や、輝かんばかりの稲穂でいっぱいの秋の風景が、楽しみに感じられました。
