Now weeding in the rice paddy fields

This photo is one of photos I took Sakaori Tanada (terraced paddy fields) in early summer 2021, shows also a weeding worker small.
The weeding work seemed to start from the paddy fields upper in the upper row and proceed to the lower row.
The rows of rice seedlings looked neat in weeded paddy fields, and paddy fields that had not been weeded yet looked as if they were filled with greenish water.
I found only 1 worker on the shooting day, also paddy fields have different shapes and the rows of rice seedlings are not always straight.
Just for that, I took off my hat to the weeding worker for his/her hard work in all the many paddy fields.
I would be glad if you could guess the hardship even a little from this photo and sympathize with me.

草取り作業進行中

初夏の坂折棚田で撮った写真の１枚で、小さく草取り作業をしている人が写っています。
草取り作業は上段の水田から始まり、下段へと進められているようでした。
草取りをした後の水田は稲の列がすっきりとして見え、これからの水田は緑色がかった水が張られているように見えました。
撮影当日は作業している人は一人だけでしたし、水田の形は１つずつ異なり、稲の列もまっすぐとは限りません。
それだけに、たくさんの水田をすべて草取りするなんて本当に大変だなぁと頭が下がる思いでした。
この写真からそのご苦労を垣間見て、同じように感じていただけると嬉しいです。
