Rice plants in growing up

When I visited Sasaragi Tanada (terraced paddy fields) to take photos for the article written about there, I found the rice plants were growing up large.
"They were only some centimeters long immediately after being planted, but how big they became now..."
Although I had been worried because there were many rainy days in summer 2021, I was relieved because that the green leaves of all rice plants were growing healthy.
They would surely grow up more by the time ears come out and would become thicker stocks.

伸び盛りの稲

佐々良木棚田についての記事用の写真を撮りに出かけたら、稲が随分大きく育っていました。
「田植えの頃はほんの数センチだったのに、こんなに立派になって…」
今年は雨が多くて心配でしたが、青々とした葉がシャキッと伸び揃っていたのでほっとしました。
花穂が出始める頃にはきっとさらに成長し、株も太ることでしょう。
