Edible flower buds of Japanese butterbur just starting to grow up

I shot the edible flower buds of Japanese butterbur that had appeared in a corner of my mother's garden.
When they just came out, they were wrapped in skins of a color similar to soil, so it was hard to find them.
They began to grow up in spring, youthful green new shoots came out of the soil-color skins.
This photo just shows the edible flower buds of Japanese butterbur in that state.
The edible flower bud of Japanese butterbur is not only a flower bud of Japanese butterbur but also a spring wild vegetable.
Some people harvest at this size, but my mother and I like at a little bigger.
Therefore, at the shooting time, we were looking forward to it, "They look like to grow deliciously."

育ち始めたばかりのフキノトウ

母の庭の片隅に生えてきたフキノトウを撮りました。
冬に顔を出したばかりは土に似た色の皮に包まれていて、すぐには見つけられませんでした。
春になって育ってくると、土色の皮の中から若々しい緑色の新芽が出てきました。
この写真は、まさにその段階のフキノトウです。
フキノトウはフキの花芽であると同時に、春の山菜でもあります。
人によってはこの写真のサイズで収穫しますが、母と私の好みはもう少し大きくなってからです。
なので、撮影しながら「美味しくなりそうだね」と母と楽しみにしていたのでした。
